Vatican City, February 17 (LaPresse) – "The results of tests carried out in recent days and today have revealed a polymicrobial respiratory infection, leading to a further adjustment in therapy. All examinations conducted so far indicate a complex clinical condition that will require appropriate hospital care."

This was announced by the Holy See in an update on the health condition of Pope Francis, who has been hospitalized at the 'Gemelli' hospital for bronchitis treatment.

"The Pope is in good spirits," Vatican Press Office Director Matteo Bruni told journalists.
