Genoa, 17 Feb (LaPresse) – Silvia Salis has accepted the nomination proposal and will run in Genoa's next municipal elections as mayoral candidate for the centre-left. The confirmation was given this morning by Salis herself, who withdrew her reservations after the coalition parties agreed to her candidature. Salis, 39, an athlete in the hammer throw with two Olympic Games to her credit, is currently deputy vice-president of CONI. The proposal had started circulating in the middle of last week and after a brief internal poll today came the confirmation.
