Vatican City (Vatican), Feb. 3 (LaPresse) – "I intend to prepare a letter, an exhortation, dedicated to children."

With these words, Pope Francis concluded the Summit on Children's Rights in the Vatican.

The Pope emphasized that "children are watching" what happens around them and added:

"Thanks to you, the halls of the Apostolic Palace have today become an 'observatory' open to the reality of childhood worldwide—an often wounded, exploited, and denied childhood. Your presence, experience, and compassion have brought this observatory to life, and more importantly, created a 'laboratory': in various thematic groups, you have developed proposals to protect children's rights, considering them not as numbers but as faces. All of this gives glory to God, and we entrust it to Him, so that His Holy Spirit may make it fruitful and productive."
