Florence, 16 Jan – This morning, soldiers from the Ros and the provincial command of the Florence Carabinieri executed a measure of arrest on suspicion of crime issued by the district prosecutor's office of the Tuscan capital against a 30-year-old man, the alleged perpetrator of the arson attack that, in the early hours of last Monday morning, damaged the entrance to the Carabinieri company in Borgo San Lorenzo (Florence). Investigations revealed that around 2 a.m. on 13 January, a young man, his face partially disguised by the hood of his jacket, had approached the door of the barracks, extracting from a large envelope a container full of highly flammable liquid, wrapped in a sweatshirt soaked in the same liquid and, after setting the fire, had left on foot through the neighbouring streets, losing his tracks.
