Rome, 21 May (LaPresse) – “Rai is back in the black after eight years. The organisation has regained its strength, vision and capacity for the future. Thanks to the employees who are supporting this revival with professionalism and commitment.” So said Rai’s Chief Executive, Giampaolo Rossi, following the approval of the draft financial statements as at 31 December 2025. “We close the 2025 financial year with a positive consolidated net profit of €9.3 million. This result marks a clear break with the past: the last profit dates back to 2017, and today’s result ranks among the best of the last eighteen years, without resorting to extraordinary transactions, as was the case in the past. This is the outcome of a structural process: rigorous economic and financial management, extended across the entire Group, which, in a complex context, allows Rai to return to generating value with solidity and vision,” adds Rossi. “These financial statements do not merely represent an improvement in the accounts: they certify a change of pace. Rai is on a credible path to sustainability and has a clear understanding of its increasingly central and competitive role within the national and European audiovisual system. The Business Plan and the Property Plan we are implementing are not ordinary measures, but a transition long awaited for decades and now finally realised. It is not merely an asset reorganisation, but a strategic investment in Rai’s future as the nation’s leading cultural enterprise. It is the same direction taken by the main European public broadcasters: fewer fixed assets, more investment in the future. Thanks to the employees who are supporting the company’s relaunch with professionalism and commitment,” concludes Rossi.
