Sanremo (Imperia), 26 February (LaPresse) – ‘Music is a big part of my life. My mother was a music teacher for 25 years, I played the piano and sang in the choir, but don't ask me to sing.’ So said Russian supermodel Irina Shayk, co-host of the third night of the Sanremo Festival, at a press conference at the Ariston. ‘My mother was a big fan of Celentano, Mina, Anna Oxa and Laura Pausini. I could go on forever,’ she continued, ‘Italian music is very emotional, it goes straight to the heart.’ She recounted her story: ‘I didn't have a difficult childhood. I lived in a remote village and had a beautiful garden, so I learned to grow vegetables. In life, it's not what we have that matters, but the closeness of our loved ones.’
