USA, parade of stars at the Super Bowl: Bad Bunny star of the Halftime show

Santa Clara (California, USA), Feb. 9 (LaPresse) – As always, many celebrities enriched the Super Bowl show. The highlight came with the highly anticipated halftime performance by Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny. Before the game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, won by the Seattle Seahawks over the New England Patriots, Jon Bon Jovi and Chris Pratt introduced the two teams. On the field appeared Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s eldest daughter, with her sister Rumi, while Green Day paid tribute to the 60th anniversary of the Super Bowl. Brandi Carlile, Charlie Puth, and Coco Jones also performed. The halftime show was the evening’s climax, featuring Bad Bunny, who brought Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin, and the culture of his country to the stage. “God bless America!” shouted the rapper toward the end, one of the few English phrases in his 13-minute show. He then listed countries from North, Central, and South America, including Uruguay, Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, the United States, and Canada. A huge parade of flags from these countries crossed the stage. At the end of the performance, Bad Bunny declared, “Mi Patria Puerto Rico, seguimos aquí” (“My homeland, Puerto Rico, we are still here”). The rapper also brought many stars onto the stage, including Cardi B, Jessica Alba, and Pedro Pascal. Among the commercials broadcast during the game was the trailer for The Adventures of Cliff Booth, a Netflix sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, with Brad Pitt reprising his character from the film and David Fincher directing.
