Actor Giancarlo Dettori, the first performer to play the wizard Zurlì, has passed away

Rome, 9 February (LaPresse) – Giancarlo Dettori, theatre and film actor, as well as a well-known television personality, has passed away in Milan at the age of 93. Dettori was the first performer to play the wizard Zurlì, a character he only portrayed on stage. Born in Cagliari on 5 April 1932, during his theatre career he worked in numerous productions at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan under the direction of Giorgio Strehler. He starred in several films, including Carlo Verdone's Maledetto il giorno che ti ho incontrato (Damn the Day I Met You), in which he played the impresario Attilio, Camilla's (Margherita Buy) partner.
