Turin, 29 January (LaPresse) – Achille Lauro will be the co-host of the second evening of the Sanremo Festival, which kicks off on 24 February. The announcement was made by artistic director Carlo Conti during the 8 p.m. Tg1 news programme. "He is an extraordinary artist, last year he was a major protagonist at the Festival. He is young, and perhaps even a little reckless…“ announced Conti, 'playing” on the title of the song “Incoscienti giovani” (Reckless Youth) performed by Lauro in the last edition of Sanremo. “He will be with me and Laura Pausini on the second night, Wednesday evening. He said yes, taking time out from the big tour he is preparing. I thank him for finding the time to return to the Festival in some way”. Achille Lauro is enthusiastic. "Carlo is in charge, I'm just a humble presenter in this case. I'm flattered – his first words on Tg1 – It's always very exciting, and then with Carlo after last year's splendid Sanremo, I couldn't ask for anything better. How am I preparing for this role? I'm very calm, my latest television experiences have gone very well, I'm very happy. Carlo is the master, I'll definitely be one step behind."
