Milan, 7 January (LaPresse) – Cancer killed Brigitte Bardot, the legendary French actress who died on 28 December at the age of 91. Her funeral will be held today in Saint-Tropez. This was revealed by her husband Bernard d'Ormale during a lengthy interview with Paris Match magazine. " In recent months, in moments of physical suffering, she said two or three times, “I'm fed up, I want to leave…”," revealed the man who had been at the great French actress's side for 33 years. In this interview, d'Ormale talks about the still unreal pain, as well as the star's last months, marked by illness and constant comings and goings between the hospital and La Madrague. Her husband remained at her bedside until the end. Physically weakened by two cancer surgeries and suffering from debilitating back pain, B.B. had ultimately lost the will to live. The actress spent her last weeks in her famous fisherman's cottage in Saint-Tropez, surrounded by her beloved cats and dogs, with her husband caring for her.
