Washington, Jan. 2 (LaPresse) – Victoria Jones, daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, was found dead in a hotel in San Francisco. The 34-year-old woman was found in the early hours of New Year’s Day, according to U.S. media reports. A spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department reportedly confirmed the news, telling the media that paramedics were called to the Fairmont Hotel at 2:52 a.m. “Our units responded on site, conducted an assessment and pronounced her dead,” the spokesperson reportedly said, adding that the local police department and the coroner’s office then intervened. The cause of death is not yet known.
Jones was the second daughter of Oscar-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. She has a brother, Austin, 43. As a child, Jones acted alongside her father in films such as Men in Black II and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, and also appeared in the TV series One Tree Hill. Tommy Lee Jones had said of his daughter: “She’s a good actress, she has a SAG (Screen Actors Guild) card and speaks impeccable Spanish. When she was little, I told Leticia, her nanny, to speak to her in Spanish.” The two often appeared together on the red carpet, including in October 2018, when he was on the jury of the Tokyo Film Festival.
