London, 29 Nov. (LaPresse/AP) – British playwright Tom Stoppard, who won an Oscar for the screenplay of “Shakespeare In Love” in 1998, has died at the age of 88. In a statement released on Saturday, United Agents said Stoppard died “peacefully” at his home in Dorset, southern England, surrounded by his family. ‘He will be remembered for his plays, for their brilliance and humanity, and for his wit, irreverence, generosity of spirit and deep love of the English language,’ they said. ‘It was an honour to work with Tom and to know him.’
