Frankfurt (Germany), 17 Nov. (LaPresse) – Alice and Ellen Kessler had decided not only to die together, but also the exact date of their death, which took place through assisted suicide. ‘The date of 17 November was chosen by the two sisters themselves,’ Wega Wetzel, spokesperson for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Humanes Sterben (Dghs), Germany's oldest and largest civil rights and patient advocacy organisation, told LaPresse. The twins had turned to the organisation to initiate the assisted suicide procedure.
