Venice, 29 August. (LaPresse) – ‘I love this film, it's a really important story for me. The incredible thing about the film is the unique perspectives, what happens in this complex relationship that many people won't understand. Some people will understand this love, others won't.’ These were the words of Julia Roberts during the press conference at the Venice Film Festival to present Luca Guadagnino's out-of-competition film “After the Hunt”. Set in the American academic world, the film stars the Hollywood diva as a beloved professor whose protégée, played by Ayo Edebiri from “The Bear”, accuses her friend and colleague (Andrew Garfield) of crossing the line. "I don't know if there will be controversy or debate, but we challenge people to have these discussions. We are just portraying these lives at this moment in time, but if this film gets people talking, I think that's the biggest success,‘ she added, ’I think the film revisits certain discussions from the past in a new way, and the fact that people are discussing and talking about it when they leave the cinema is exactly what we wanted. That there would be different emotions and points of view."
