Turin, July 31 (LaPresse) – After the screening of the concert film in Italian cinemas, tomorrow, Friday, August 1, the live album This Is Not A Drill – Live From Prague The Movie (Legacy Recordings / Sony Music) by Pink Floyd founding member and creative mind Roger Waters will be released in 4-LP box set, DVD, double CD, Blu-Ray, and digital formats.
This Is Not A Drill – Live From Prague The Movie was recorded during the live show at the O2 Arena in the Czech Republic on May 25, 2023. The show – described as his “first real farewell tour” – is a protest act against the capitalist dystopia in which we all struggle to survive and is dedicated to our brothers and sisters around the world who are engaged in the existential battle for the soul of humanity, as the statement reads.
Thanks to this new release, fans will be able to see and hear Roger Waters with his live show, which includes 20 classics from Pink Floyd and Roger Waters, including Us & Them, Comfortably Numb, Wish You Were Here, Is This The Life We Really Want?, and his unreleased song The Bar. Roger Waters was joined on stage by his band: Jonathan Wilson, Dave Kilminster, Jon Carin, Gus Seyffert, Joey Waronker, Robert Walter, Shanay Johnson, Amanda Belair, and Seamus Blake.
The show was also filmed in 8K and became a film (distributed in Italy by Nexo Studios). The editing was directed by Sean Evans, Roger Waters' longtime collaborator. The concert film offers remarkable detail and clarity with newly remastered audio.
