Rome, July 23 (LaPresse) – Tributes to Ozzy Osbourne continue to pour in from stars in music and film.
“The whole world is mourning Ozzy,” Alice Cooper told The Hollywood Reporter. “Over the course of his long career, he earned immense respect from both his peers and fans around the world—as a showman and as a one-of-a-kind cultural icon. I always saw Ozzy as a mix between the Prince of Darkness, the persona his fans loved, and a court jester. He was, and will remain, a rock 'n' roll legend. Rock ’n’ roll is a family and a brotherhood. When we lose one of our own, it hurts.”

Duran Duran also paid tribute: “It’s hard to imagine a world without him. Ozzy brought so much joy, humor, and sheer power to the world, through a life with many chapters. Ozzy was a guy who lived way more than nine lives,” the band wrote on Instagram.

Billy Idol shared a photo of himself with the Black Sabbath frontman, taken last fall during the ceremony when Osbourne was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist.
“Ozzy embodied the spirit of rock ’n’ roll and performed right up until the end, as we all saw recently at the ‘Back to the Beginning’ concert,” Idol wrote in his post.

One of the fathers of heavy metal was also honored in the world of cinema. Jason Momoa, who earlier this month had introduced the final Black Sabbath live show in Birmingham, wrote: “I love you Ozzy Osbourne. I care about you. Rest in peace.”
