Trento, 24 May (LaPresse) – ‘I defend songwriters; we had lost our sacredness. It seemed like something old and dusty. But here we are, on the podium at Sanremo, Lucio Corsi and me. Something unthinkable until recently.’ These were the words of Brunori Sas last night at the Teatro Sociale in Trento, where he brought music and irony to the Fuori Festival dell'economia, organised by Gruppo 24 Ore and Trentino Marketing. He then won over the audience with a joke: ‘Me? The Calabrian Bruce Springsteen. After all, I stayed there to live. They kidnapped me.’ Brunori also recalled his past as an entrepreneur, with his family active in brick production, and a degree in economics that he has only partially put aside, because ‘it remains a way of looking at things.’ Speaking about his new album, “L'albero delle noci” (The Walnut Tree), he said: ‘It's an album about bonds. The song was written as a dedication to Simona, my partner, but it also recounts the emotional revolution of the arrival of a daughter. It's a bit of a summary of everything I've written over the years, as if I were returning to the starting point after a long journey.’ Then, almost in a whisper, he confided: “The birth of Fiammetta changed everything. Becoming a father forces you to rethink your priorities. This album is a valley of tears, yes. But also of light”.
