Rome, May 3 (LaPresse) – Six people died in a stampede at a Hindu temple in the Indian state of Goa after thousands of worshippers gathered for a “fire walking” ceremony. This was reported by local authorities, who said that around 80 other people were injured, including five in critical condition, according to local media. The worshippers had gathered at a temple in the village of Shirgao for the traditional festival of the state of Goa, which features walking on hot coals.
