Rome, April 2 (LaPresse) – Directors Francis Ford Coppola and Michael Mann, along with actor Josh Brolin, are among those who have paid tribute to actor Val Kilmer, who passed away today at the age of 65. "He was a wonderful person to work with, and it was a pleasure to know him. I will always remember him," Coppola wrote on Instagram. Kilmer's friend, Brolin, stated on social media that the actor was "intelligent, provocative, courageous, and super creative. There aren't many like him left." Mann, director of Heat, said in a statement that he was amazed by Kilmer's brilliant range and power as an actor. Author Don Winslow wrote on X that Kilmer was "a brilliant actor and a good man," while actor Josh Gad thanked Kilmer for "the many films that defined his childhood."
