Milan Stock Exchange opens sharply higher on US-Iran truce

Milan, 8 April (LaPresse) – The Milan Stock Exchange opened sharply higher in the wake of the truce signed between the United States and Iran. The FTSE MIB index gained 0.9% in early trading. The biggest gains were seen in banking stocks, from Unicredit (+7.85%) to Bper (+6.8%), including Mediobanca (+4.73%) and Mediolanum (+4.37%). Moncler (+6.98%), Stellantis (+6.94%), Buzzi (+6.8%) and Brunello Cucinelli (+6.24%) also performed well. Tenaris (-3.87%) and Saipem (-3.07%) were down, however.
