Eurozone, Eurostat: "Strong acceleration in inflation in March, +2.5% on year"

Milan, 31 March. (LaPresse) – According to a preliminary estimate by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, annual inflation in the Eurozone should stand at 2.5% in March 2026, a sharp increase compared to 1.9% in February. Analyzing the main components of inflation in the euro area, energy is expected to record the highest annual rate in March (4.9%, compared to -3.1% in February), followed by services (3.2%, compared to 3.4% in February), food, alcohol and tobacco (2.4%, compared to 2.5% in February) and non-energy industrial goods (0.5%, compared to 0.7% in February).
