Antitrust, €500,000 fine for Wizz Air

Rome, 14 November (LaPresse) – The Italian Competition and Market Authority has found that low-cost airline Wizz Air Hungary Ltd has violated the Consumer Code regarding unfair commercial practices and unfair terms and has imposed a fine of €500,000. The proceedings concerned the “Wizz All You Can Fly” annual subscription service, which allows subscribers to fly at a fixed rate on all international routes operated by the carrier, for a price of €599.00 (€499.00 in the initial phase of the promotion). This was announced by the Antitrust Authority.
