Rome, 5 September (LaPresse) – "The tariffs are obviously having a negative impact on our economy and our businesses, there is no doubt about that. Estimates suggest losses of between 6 and 8 billion per year. We are major exporters and the United States is a key market for Italian products in many sectors, such as agri-food, but also mechanics and pharmaceuticals." These are the words of Emma Marcegaglia, president and CEO of Marcegaglia Holding, on the sidelines of the Teha Forum currently underway in Cernobbio. ‘It is therefore essential to consider other markets as well: in this context, the Mercosur agreement is positive, and we must continue in this direction. Our country is reacting better than others, but we cannot let up,’ concluded Marcegaglia.
