Milan, August 5 (LaPresse) – Italy's HCOB Services PMI Index rose slightly in July to 52.3 points from 52.1 in June. This reading remains consistent with a modest growth rate in the sector but still stronger than the historical series average, according to S&P Global.
Surveyed firms reported higher order volumes, partly due to new clients and the launch of new projects, which in turn boosted activity.
Meanwhile, the HCOB Composite Output Index for Italy also saw a slight increase, reaching 51.5 points from 51.1 in June. The expansion remained concentrated in the services sector, as manufacturing output continued to decline sharply.
