Frankfurt (Germany), 28 May (LaPresse) – European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde could leave the ECB early to take over as chair of the World Economic Forum (WEF). This was reported by the Financial Times, citing statements made by the founder of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, who said that Lagarde discussed the change in leadership at the WEF with him in April in Frankfurt. ‘President Lagarde has always been fully committed to fulfilling her mission and is determined to complete her mandate,’ a spokesperson for the European Central Bank (ECB) told LaPresse.
