Rome, May 1 (LaPresse) – “We’ve learned that there are 600 million euros available and that discussions will begin on Thursday. We used to have a decree every April 30th; this time there's only an announcement—but that’s already a step forward. We’ve held demonstrations to demand resources for workplace safety: the budget law contains not a single euro. And those 600 million come from INAIL; it’s money from companies and workers—it’s our money, the money we put in,” said Pierpaolo Bombardieri, secretary of the UIL union, speaking at a demonstration in Montemurlo, in the province of Prato. “And there are still 900 million left, because INAIL has set aside 1.5 billion: check the financial statements, study them, and invest that money in safety.”
