Milan, April 23 (LaPresse) – Wall Street opened sharply higher following comments yesterday by U.S. President Donald Trump stating he has no intention of firing Fed Chairman Jerome Powell. This was followed by remarks from U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who said he expects a “de-escalation” in the conflict with Beijing.
The Dow Jones is up 2.16%, the S&P 500 has gained 2.9%, and the Nasdaq is up 3.56%.
