Trento, April 12 (LaPresse) – "There is a topic that is gaining more and more space and relevance. I’m talking about the impact of all this on the role of the dollar. There are questions about the consequences of all this on the international monetary system because the global economy, its structure, as well as international relations and trade depend on the fundamental role of the dollar in the world economy. After the dollar, there is the euro," said the Governor of the Bank of Italy, Fabio Panetta, during a conversation with the director of Sole 24 Ore, Fabio Tamburini, and 10 students at the preview of the Trento Economics Festival, which will take place from May 22 to 25. Panetta referred to the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration. "Italy needs a dynamic economy to counter the phenomenon of young people leaving the country in search of work opportunities. This is a problem that goes beyond the Bank of Italy and concerns the country. The loss of young people is a significant issue. The country is aging because there are fewer births, and many young people are going abroad, especially those with better education. So, the talents of the future are serving another country's economy, and this is not good for our economy," Panetta added.
