Rome, Jan. 31 (LaPresse) – According to the findings of the Italian Ministry of Enterprise and Industry's Observatory on fuel prices, average petrol and diesel prices along the Italian distribution network have been falling steadily over the past week, marking today the fifth consecutive day of price reductions. The average self-service price of petrol at the pump stands today at €1.83/litre, while that of diesel is €1.74/litre. Compared to last Friday, the overall decrease was -0.7 cents per litre for petrol and -0.8 cents for diesel. The Ministry of Enterprise and Industry continues to closely monitor price trends and is reporting any anomalies found at distribution points on a weekly basis to the Guardia di Finanza in order to ensure transparency and fairness in the market.
