Milan, Jan. 28 (LaPresse)- Mps's takeover bid for Mediobanca ‘is in Italy's interest. The final target is Generali. It is an operation to be viewed favourably, I think it would be in Italy's interest, if it succeeds, because market signals are to be understood, but the market must be taken into account. Mediobanca is a conduit to Generali. With the 50/50 agreement that Generali is making with the French of Natixis the situation is complicated, also because at 50% the companies do not last. ‘So to LaPresse, the entrepreneur Romano Minozzi, owner of Iris Ceramica Group, shareholder of Mediobanca with 0.11% and member of the consultation pact that holds 11.4% of Piazzetta Cuccia.
